Cord Tubes!

I have a lot of USB and charging cords all over the place. Let's face it, that's our lives now.
But it drives my OCD NUTS!!

I stumbled across this idea using toilet paper rolls and tried it. Worked out great!

Here's how:

I got a few toilet paper rolls out of a box I've been saving them in. Yes saving them. I've made a few other things from them so I started saving them because I'm a psycho bitch and I figured one day I will need them....well that day came! So don't judge me.

Then I painted them black because they look ugly plain. You can paint them any color you like but I had a lot of black paint.

Here they are. After they dried I put them in a basket I keep on my desk. Rolled up the cords I use often and stuck them inside......So neat!! I'm thinking I might even whip out my label maker and label the tubes. But that may be a bit much. And my family thinks I'm crazy enough as it is.  Now I need to make more for my junk draws!

Leave a comment and let me know what you think of this idea. If you try it, tag me to your pics on Instagram or Twitter. I'd love to see your work.

  1. Love the black color and the concept! I'm done judging! Lol!

    1. Your welcome!
Keep on crafting! I am enjoying this as well.

  2. I do that - so handy - they are never tangled when you need them. It also works on the cords of curling irons and hair dryers. I like your idea to paint them. What about labeling them with the cord length?

    1. I label just about everything in my house. So I like that Idea Liz

  3. I took a drawer in the kitchen and put a outlet in the back with usb plugs for the phones and no phones on the counter,,,works great.
